How It Works

The system features an interactive projector and a 3D sensor mounted above the sandbox. It reads the shape of the sand surface in real time and instantly overlays visual effects such as elevation levels, terrain colors, water, lava, and more..

Users shape the landscape with their hands — building mountains and creating valleys — and immediately see how the virtual environment changes. For example, lowering the sand creates water, forming rivers and lakes, while raising it creates mountains with color-coded elevation levels.

The system can also operate as an interactive sand table featuring multiple educational scenarios and games, making it suitable for both learning and entertainment environments.
